Verona is one of the side characters of THRIVE IN SPITE. She is the owner of Verona's Bakery and Coffeehouse and a skilled pastry chef. Her best friend is Travis and she is the mother of Ginger.
Personality
Verona is sweet, hardworking, and introverted. She tends to be stubborn and pessimistic when it comes to change, but she is surprisinly adaptable in stressful situations. To her friends, Verona is the hardest worker and most independent person they know, but Verona always feels that she could be doing more.
She is a huge romantic and loves being a mother, and her biggest dream is to find true love and live happily with her family. Unfortunately, she is terrifed to date again and is very insecure in her role as a single mother. She frequently compares herself to others and avoids real life romance at all costs.
Physical
Verona is tall, pear-shaped, and average weight. Her fur is soft and a variety of reddish and brownish hues. Her hair is a similar red as her fur and is long and curly. Her preference for clothes tends to run comfortable and flowy, while maintaning a professional and modest look.
Likes
Baking, dog-friendly chocolate, coffee, her daughter Ginger, romance movies, classic literature, peanut butter, and autumn.
Dislikes
Rude customers, dating, competitiveness, and sports.

Met in highschool detention after Verona defended Travis from bullies. They've been best friends ever since. After Travis's burnout, Verona patiently waited for him to come back to her.
Despite everything they've been through, they're always there for each other. Verona always saw his potential and tries to push him back to persuing his passions.
